I help people with chronic pain recover. I work with clients living with conditions such as fibromyalgia, IBS, chronic migraines, and chronic back pain, as well as chronic anxiety, depression, and trauma. My work aims to reduce pain and suffering and restore quality of life. For some types of chronic pain, the pain itself can be reversible, making full or nearly full recovery possible.

My approach is holistic, relational, and integrative. Pain is not always simply a sign of what is wrong with the body. The brain, nervous system, emotions, trauma, and life experiences can shape pain through processes outside conscious control. Using a neuroscience-informed mind-body framework, I help clients understand and change patterns that may be contributing to ongoing pain or distress. Methods may include pain reprocessing, clinical hypnosis, meditation, somatic techniques, and trauma healing.

I believe meaningful change happens through a trusted, safe therapeutic relationship where you can face what is painful, work through old patterns, and experience new ways of relating to yourself and your symptoms. Sessions may be quiet and reflective or active and experiential, depending on your needs.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a criminal lawyer, which helped me understand the impact of trauma, high pressure, and chronic stress. I am a certified clinical hypnotherapist and the author of Facing Your Anxiety: A Personal Guide to Freedom from Anxiety.
